San Francisco-based singer and songwriter Anjali Asha has just shared her brand new single Vitals, a super smooth piece of Contemporary R&B music out now via Text Me Records.
Anjali Asha is a woman not unbeknown to adversity, and her upcoming EP is a testament to that. Vitals, the first song from her EP to be released in 2022, is a song about many human emotions such as self-doubt and the feeling of being stressed and burnt out. Asha sings about being stuck in your head and needing to come back to earth while searching for one’s purpose. The track has a clear influence from the likes of Kehlani and Ella Mai with the soulful and smooth vocalism from Asha.
Anjali had just survived a car accident involving a drunk driver and her face had been crushed in and separated from her skull. She suffered a LeFort II fracture, torn upper lip, lacerated forehead, permanent nerve damage, and was unable to breath properly. Her upper jaw, nose, and cheekbones broken, she was told she may never sing again.
Born in San Francisco and raised in Castro Valley, R&B singer Anjali Asha is as resilient as they come. Shortly before the pandemic hit, Asha was fighting to recover from a car accident involving a drunken driver.
